Galipán
Galipán is a small village located in the Avila Mountain, a few kilometers up of Caracas, the city where I was born and spent my youth. The journey up to Galipán was always a thrilling one. The village can only be reached by 4WD, and the views of the city below are just extraordinary.
This series is infused with nostalgia of my past. I used to live at the foot of the mountain and going up to Galipán always gave me a breath of fresh air. It was not only for its nice weather, the evergreen foliage, their delicious strawberries and the colorful flowers, it was mainly for the kindness of its people. As the sun starts to come down, a light fog enfolds the area that reminds the visitor that it’s time to say good bye.
