Drawing away from

The images displayed stand as an interplay of light and shadows, a graphic blend of geometrical forms and lines, with a focus on formal structural details and tonal coherence. The expressive value of the series is accentuated by a unique quality disassociated from any specific entity. The pictures are not meant as a representation of something, but in itself they are something.

By experimenting with images and freeing myself from a conceptual attitude, I was able to go beyond the real life object and extract the picture behind it. The result was an aesthetic contemplative composition, independent from its visual origins.
